Pastor Michael Madden and his family joined the ministry of Auburn United Methodist Church on July 1, 2022. Michael, his wife Ashley, and their daughter Alexis have served Cotton Hill United Methodist Church in Springfield since July 2020. Michael will serve as the pastor for both churches as they begin a new charge alignment.
Michael graduated from Millikin University with a degree in marketing and spent several years in marketing and communications positions before beginning his pastoral journey. Before joining Cotton Hill for his first appointment, he led the youth group at the United Methodist Church in Farmer City, Illinois. He is currently continuing his ministry education through Garrett Seminary. Recently, Michael worked with two other pastors in the area to secure a grant from the Foundation for Evangelism that will help improve the digital outreach of the church in our community.
The worship service at Auburn United Methodist Church will remain at 9:00 am on Sundays. Cotton Hill United Methodist Church will move its service back to 10:30 to accommodate this new arrangement.
